I'm having a strange problem which involves my avi files and internet explorer. I have alot of avi. movie files on my computer and lately when I open up the folder they are saved in and start scrolling through an internet explorer error box comes up. I don't know why as I'm not trying to do anything with IE, I'm not even trying to open anything. I don't know if this will help, but the error details are:

    AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.3156 ModName: nemp4splitter.ax
    ModVer: 4.9.4.1 Offset: 0002a65b

When I choose to send error report and don't send report it closes the folder window and I loose my desktop for a few seconds and then it comes back and I have to start all over again. The only way I can get around this and watch my movie files is to just leave the pop up error box in the background and deal with it when I am done with the comp.
    Please help!

You could change the folder view from thumbnails to icons/list view etc . Windows is previewing each file as it displays it's thumbnail , which involves running the codecs for each file . It sounds like some of your codecs are causing a conflict between Nero and explorer .
I recall this issue from a while back and assumed it had been fixed in more recent versions of Nero but maybe not - what version are you running ?

Sorry , I worded that badly - the codecs are not causing the problem . Nero is .

I have tried changing the thumbnails to just a list of the movie files. I have just uninstalled Nero and deleted all files associated with it and although the error message doesn't come up as often, its still happens and now is coming up with other files as well.
