I have a problem with my windows explorer.
on my desktop, the hierarchy lines appear. but on my laptop, they are missing. My question is, since they're both running the same version of XP, how does one get them to appear/disappear? does it have something to do with the registry? or is it pure random? I have seen my friends' windows explorer, and it doesn't show for them. so far, my desktop computer is the only XP i've seen with hierarchy lines in windows explorer.
i'm not trying to violate any rules(they say i can't post URLs), but if you don't understand what I mean, I have a few pictures here to show you.

I would like to know how to make the lines appear. Please Help!!!

Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab.

    "Display Simple Folder View..."
