Windows explorer is slow to respond. I'm running WinXP, Home Edition, SP3 on a new machine. When I return to win explorer, it takes a few seconds to respond, and then My Network Places and My Documents is displayed. This is a new, custom PC; antivirus, etc. is up to date and running; and I've unchecked the option to automatically check for networks under Explorer/tools. Any ideas on how to avoid the lag time before My Network Places and My Documents is displayed?
