Hi Helpfulls,

I have an issue where my windows explorer browser will lock up when i open a folder that contains large video files (specifically captured digital video). I'll get 4 or 5 seconds before the computer thinks for the moment, then the program stops responding. I've read somewhere that this can be due to thumbnail view, but changing the folder mode to 'details' doesn't seem to help.

The app can fairly readily be ended through the task manager, but i've discovered a quicker way is to end the process thread drwtsn32.exe which immediately appears with the problem. It is very easy to repeat the problem, as it happens without fail when opening certain folders. Always to the extent i've been forced to use the command prompt to delete certain files.

The lockup occurs when accessing both of my physical drives, one of which is a WD 200gb 7200rpm 8mb i only just purchased.

System is:

Win XP SP2, 512mb Ram, 3.0ghz - i'm not exactly sure what information would be relevent. A format was only about 2 - 3 months ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, the problems stuck with me for a while.
