My avira anitvir can't get into my internet, I think it's because of my firewall, but I'm not sure. How can I make it so that it can connect to the internet?

This is the message I keep getting, I apologize for it's size.

Well it's a bit hard to read, but I gather it is telliing you that a firewall is blocking it.

This should not happen with the Windows XP SP2 firewall if your antivirus program is a current version.

However you can open the Windows Firewall options page from the Control Panel.
Look at the Exceptions list. If your antivirus is there and unchecked, check it.

If it is not there, select the ADD PROGRAM tab and browse to it and add it.

If you have another firewall, then you will have to "read the manual" on how to add programs to the authorized list.
