I have tried to find a way to fix this, but have been unsuccessful.

This happens on various programs, so I know it's just a certain thing that I am trying to install.

    This is the error:

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package.

    Windows XP Home, SP2.

    Try The Resolution

    path\Setup.exe /fv version.msi

Path = path of the MSI installer

I don't know the version of the .msi though. I tried the second solution, but there is no Installer folder inside of my WINDOWS folder.
