    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz, x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7
    Processor Count: 1
    RAM: 511 Mb
    Graphics Card: 32MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra, 32 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 57184 MB, Free - 6691 MB;
    Motherboard: Dell Computer Corp.,
    Antivirus: None

    Windows Installer "Preparing to Install" popup appears but only when I open and work with Microsoft Word. No other MS apps are affected. I'm not having download problems. I've had a few programs that wouldn't install, but only for certain apps such as Avast antivirus.
    This has been happening for a while now.

    Have researched numerous webpages about this problem and have tried a number of suggestions including running msicuu2, the windows installer cleanup utility. I just downloaded msicuu2 again, but now receive "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" when I try to install it. Haven't been able to fix that issue either.

    Can you please help? What do you need me to tell you and/or do? Many thanks.
