Now whenever I try to install a program that has the MSI (installer), my win 98se machine won't reboot but displays "Real mode system memory allocation failed" and stops before Windows starts. Only using GoBack to undo everything can I get back going. Its being doing it for some times but only after exaustive trial and error did I realize it was the installer (for any program using it that I tried to install). I have disabled the installer files and reinstalled the new version two and also tried the "clean up tool" that Microsoft has. but any new install of any MSI program will stop the machine. I assume it must be registry problems but how do I get rid of the registry settings. Any body got ideas?
