When I open a program (any program) I get the Windows Installer popping up and it says: Please wait while Windows configures Search Settings 1.1", followed by a second message that says "Search Settings will now close all instances of Internet Explorer before continuing. Click continue to proceed". No matter if I click continue or cancel, the message comes up 2 more times and anytime I open a new program.

I was thinking about uninstalling and then re-installing Windows Installer.

    Thanks in advance!

I just thought I would add something. The name of the program that is on the Windows Installer is Search Settings 1.1. I went to Add/Remove Programs to remove Search Settings 1.1 and it won't let me do it. It tell me I do not have access to key UNKNOWN\SearchSettings.BHO.1\CLSID

    :(
