Am getting error message 0x800CCC7D this server requires SSL connection. On some emails only.
Have recently added Gmail account to Yahoo and changed from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail as result of upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7. Would like to have email addresses on different ISPs and Gmail is an experiment in this direction.

Any ideas would be welcome.

If using pop3 email - Right click your email name for Windows Live Mail - Properties - Advance Tab - Put a check mark in both SSL server boxes - Click Apply at the bottom.
Any way that's the way mine is. For Imap leave though boxes unchecked.

Thanks for reply - I have tried clicking the SSL boxes as you suggested. But I then get a message that says server DOESN`T have an SSL connection. I think this has something to do with my using a free Yahoo email
Email Service because I notice it says server requires SSL connection on some emails only.

But I don`t know what to do about it other than changing my Email Service.
