I've been having problems with Windows Live Mail for the last few days. I keep getting the following message whenever I try to send and receive emails.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Att (rickhoge) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Incorrect username or password.
    Server: 'inbound.att.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes

I've tried changing my password twice and can't get anywhere.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rick

Go to AT&T's webmail site, and try to log in.

    Thanks guys,

I have tried both. The first one doesn't solve the problem. I AM able to access and send email from AT&T's website.

Do my user name and passwords have to be the same for both WLM and AT&T's ?

Yes. AT&T is your e-mail server. If you are using a different username and password on WLM then AT&T's web site then your not going to get in. They have to be the same.

    Thanks,

Well I managed to solve the problem myself....Just Changed my password back to what it was before I changed it when WLM started rejecting the original password.

Don't know what caused it to happen. This has happened once before but I never could figgure it out then....the problem just resolved itself after a few days.
