I have an AMD 1.2 ghz with a geforce ti 500 with windows me installed, and it locks up. I cannot play media files or sound files as it will lock up. It also randomly locks up when on the net, but, the biggest issue is when I am using any graphics or multimedia.

Any help would be okay. This is an old problem but I am sick of not knowing what is wrong or how to correct.

    Help!!!!

Scan your computer for virus on-line at http://housecall.trendmicro.com

It may be your video card is starting to go bad. Is it an Add-in? Have you got on-board graphics? and if you do, is the on-board graphics properly disabled in Device Manager so an add-in video card can work properly?

Use System Restore to roll your computer back to a date to before when your computer worked right. Before the error(s) started occurring.

To start System Restore, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. Or, in the Help and Support main screen, click Use System Restore under Fix a problem.
