I have noticed on some videos using windows medial player that I can NOT jump ahead in the video, I have to watch the "entire" video. Is there anyway to do this or is it the way the video was made that you have to watch the "entire" video ?

Thanks

I have Media Player 9 instead of 10, but if I want to advance the play back, you can move the slider with your mouse or click on the fast forward button. This is the double arrow button at the right end of the slider. The double arrow at the left of the slider is the rewind button.

ok maybe I should have said that I know all of the controls on windows media player.....On most videos I can slide the rule(slide) and advance to a further point in the video. Unfortunatley I cannot do that on ALL videos. I also am aware of the fast forward but again unfortunately this is not a clickable option on some videos.

I was more curious if it is because of the way someone made the video or that my preference might be set wrong.
