Windows media player 11 not responding

Whenever I click on anything on windows media player it says 'searching for solution' but it never does and then gives me the only option to close the program.
Please help!!!

In your computer specs you say you have Windows 7 which would mean you have WMP 12. If you had Vista you could have WMP 11.

So do you have WMP 12 and Windows 7 or WMP 11 and Vista?
