    Hi!

Is it safe to uninstall Media Player 7 and go back to an older version? I installed it with Encarta yesterday (I know I souldn't have!), it overwrote Media Player 6 and next thing I know: it locked up all my .wma files saying it needs a license to read them or something to that effect (more crap from Microsoft! ) and screwed up Winamp. I just want to make sure I can uninstall it without any risk because I have lots of applications and codecs involved...

    Thanks! :)

You should solve this problem by simply going to "options", "copy music" then take the check mark (it's there by default at set up) out of teh "protect content" box. Also you should be able to reset WinAmp as your default player through it's options menu.
