Hi guys,

I've been having similar problems, though mine started after 'upgrading' to Windows Media Player v9. Basically the Microsoft website informed me that an upgrade was available so I downloaded and installed it. Whilst playing around with the settings (I was trying to choose a new skin at the time), the Media Player suddenly disappeared. I can play and listen to music still, no problem, however I cannot see the Media Player at all (and no, it's not hiding in the corner of my screen somewhere in mini view......unless it's so ultra tiny that I need a magnifying glass to see it!). It's really frustrating as not only can I not flick past any less favourable tracks, but I can't pause it whenever I need to leave my desk. I work on a computer all day and if I leave my desk for a while it either carries on playing to the end of the CD, or I have to stop it and listen to the first lot of tracks all over again. I've tried to contact Microsoft for their help but their website keeps on hanging <grrrr>. Can any of you kind guys out there help me instead? I would very much appreciate it. I tried doing what was suggested earlier in the thread - uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling but the problem remains the same!??? Any ideas anyone?

Thanks majorly in advance (and in hope...)
BB
