I transferred my iTunes Library wirelessly to my new laptop using the Transfer Your Data wizard. I'm using Windows Media Player to sycronize my media to my Sony MP3 player. I pulled up Windows Media Player and all of the songs are listed twice or even more in the list of media. On the C drive in the iTunes folder, all of the songs are listed once. The media plays well, but I'm just curious as to why the songs are listed twice in Windows Media Player.

The easiest way to clear duplicates out of WMP is to delete the WMP database and rebuild it.

What version of Windows do you have and which version of WMP?
