Windows Media Player wont work

    my windows media player wont work any more i have windows xp and i try to play music and it wont open up it makes a beep sound like there is a problem but no message and it wont open.... the music i have witch i wont go into becuase of the strict rules about it on tech guy support. i have my own folder with music and i click one becuase it wont let me open thru the media player and it does the same thing the same beeping sound. please help!!!!!!

    Perhaps the media file itself is corrupted since you probably got it from a source which you don't want to go into ;) Sometimes that happens.

    so could i delete the corrupted file or reinstall media player becuase all songs wont work not just 2 or 3???

    If legit songs aren't working either, then I'd uninstall and reinstall MP.

    Go to add/remove programs, Windows setup, and select media player.
