hi guys im having problems playing movies. they play for about 30 mins then a messege pops up saying windows media has encountered a problem and needs to close. ive tried scanning my pc for viruses, but its clear. the same thing happens with other movie players. when i re-format my hard drive and reload windows xp and my other programs the movie players work fine for a couple of days. it seems like the more i use them the more they play up. sometimes when i try to go to full screen mode the picture goes black but i can still here whats going on. when this happens i have to restart the pc before i can veiw the movie again. any ideas?

When that message pops up is there an option for help or web help? If you click on either help it will give you an error code. Could you post that code here?
Also please post your version of WMP (help/about media player).
Are you up-to-date on your microsoft updates?
Is it any video or sound file? Could you post the extensions which are having problems?
