Windows Media Player

    I've just installed Win XP, and when I play a tune on Media Player, it sounds crackly, but is fine if I switch the visualisations off. What could be causing this, and what can I change? Cheers.

    Hey there

    First off, have you updated windows xp yet? There's a new version of WMP that doesn't come with XP.

    Secondly, how fast is your computer / how much ram do you have?

    I'm running a 1.3 Athlon, with 256 ram. I've also noticed that when I was using a music editing program (Audacity), if I moved the scroll bars on the program, while music was playing, this also affected the sound
