I've tried to burn cds using windows media player but it keeps telling me there's no device detected. I'm trying to burn some MP3s I have but I having no luck. I able to copy stuff from cd onto there but I can't burn anything. Is the media player suppose to burn cd's? I have a fairly new computer (Pentium 4) and am using Windows XP

Firstly are you sure you have a CD burner?

If you have then use the software that would've been installed along with it. Nero, Roxio etc. These will do a much better job the WMP. That is you'll have more control.
