I have a couple of questions about Windows Media Player.

1. When I put in a CD and the program starts, it always wants to connect to the internet (I get an alert from ZA to allow it). Why does it want to connect to the internet? Since there is a CD in the player, it has a music source.

2. I allowed the above connection, thinking that maybe it was going to connect to a db to pull track names and times - it didn't. Is there a way to have that info populated - short of typing it all in manually?

Media Player has a nasty habit of reporting what kind of listneing you are doing.
If you go into Tools & remove checks for :

Connect to the Internet

Under Privacy remove Enhance my experience.

I think those are the main ones

When the Windows Media Player starts, it updates the radio preset list from the Internet. I don't know of anyway to disable this.
