I am running WinXP Home SP1 and have noticed that whenever I launch my web browser (IE6) Windows Messanger V4.7 logs on to the MSN network ..... is there a way to stop this? Or preferably stop Windows Messanger from autoloading all together (yes I have it set to NOT load with windows).

I heard by changing the name of the Windows Messenger folder, it will stop loading when you launch internet explorer.

I found my problem, what I had to do was remove my password for Messanger from WinXP's memory. I was to focused on looking for a "fix" in Messanger itself so it took a while to cross my mind to look elsewhere.
