Hey all, hope you can help. I have a friend who is unable to boot Windows 98 due to a "Windows Protection Error" which shows up every time she starts the computer. Safe mode does not work, you get the same error message. I formated the Hard Drive on another computer, and that works ok, but when I put it back in her machine I keep getting the error message. Thought it may have been Ram so I replaced hers with a stick known to work properly, and that didn't do the trick. Its an e-machine, with all the original hardware so i assume its not a driver or resource conflict. Any help would be appreciated!
