Hi, my husband's computer has been working without any problems. Yesterday I was cleaning around it and something fell and hit the tower. (I think it did anyway) Since then you can't boot it, you are automatically taken to the screen where you can choose which mode you want to boot in. We have tried safe mode and normal mode and always get the same message---> Windows Protection Error. You need to restart your computer. My husband watched through safe mode, he also noticed that it said "not initializing VDMAD" Any ideas? Thanks!!! He is running Windows 98 :)

Start by opening the case and re-setting all the cables, plugs, cards and memory sticks inside the puter.

Something may have been knocked loose.

    Good luck.
