Hi I have a mecer with windows xp sp2 installed. I decided to reinstall the software of windows sp2. When I did that it gives me this.
Activate Windows: msoobe.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7726381c" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".
Click on ok to terminate the program.
Click on cancel to debug the program.
When cancel is clicked it goes to login page. When login is clicked then it shows this.
    Windows product activation.
This copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log on.
Do you want to activate windows now?
    YES. NO
When yes is clicked after a while it shows Activate windows screen on top.
    Pls help

Windows XP Service Pack 2 support ended on July 13, 2010, and it may no longer be possible to activate unsupported software through Microsoft's automated system.

You may need to contact Microsoft in person at toll-free (888) 352 7140 to activate unsupported software. The complete table of additional localized activation center telephone numbers can be found here.

How did you reinstall? Did you format the partition?

What problem(s) prompted you to decide to reinstall in the first place?

I just did a normal install with the software cd. It asked me if I want a full install where all stuff on pc will be lost. I took the latter install where my stuff will be saved.
