I know this has been asked loads but having searching the forums for ages cannot find the solution.
My serach in windows 7 64 bit home does work on the start button but...

If I create a file called simon.txt in say C:\new docs and hit windows key and 'F' why when I type the file name into the search does it not come up. surely searching is a basic function?

It worked fine on XP. I don't understand why it changed - speed I suppose.

I have tried reindexing and rebuild and all that but still is this not basic?

    Please help - very frustrated!!

    Simon
