    Hi everyone,
Two days ago my hp pavillion laptop, vista sp1 stopped working correctly. Windows security center pops up saying I have no anti virus protecting the laptop but avg seems to be running normally. I also have no network connectivity (posting from itouch) and when I try to open the network connection page it just stays blank and never loads then eventually closes. I get pop ups saying program "has stopped working", happens with windows explorer, firefox, windows search indexer, host process and a few others. Basically I have no Internet, slow laptop, a lot of programs don't work, security center claims I have no anti virus and it's the same in safe mode except I don't get pop ups saying programs have stopped working. I'm afraid I'll lose my documents and I am applying for schools and deadlines are this week and I really need my laptop I'm desperate. I scanned with avg and malware and got rid of a few viruses but problems persist. Help with be greatly appreciated. Not sure if it matters but my mom might have shut down the laptop incorrectly could be the cause.
