Good evening (uk) ladies and gents
I am a long time programmer (nearly 30 years using 3 & 4 gls), fairly proficient at pcs, but have now set myself the task of learning Windows Server 2003 by book and guesswork. Bit of a steep learning curve, so all help gratefully accepted. I am hosting a server which requires 2 remote pcs to be able to connect. I have sorted them out so that they can use remote access desktops via the internet but need them to be able to access my server's drives as if local. Is this a case for VPN or is there some way of using the "connectcomputer" option via the internet.
Pcs - Vista professional
Server - Dell Poweredge
Router - Netgear DG834G with VPN options built in.
Any help would be appreciated to help me travel in the correct direction.
Regards
