    I see some Windows Server 2003 "R2". Can some tell me what the "R2" mean?
    Thanks,

    Welcome to TSG!

    R2 = Release Candidate 2 -- a pre-release Beta version
    Sometimes seen as RC2
    The first release is known as RTM -- Release To Manufacturing
