Hello,
I have a problem with windows xp sp2.
Was playing War3 and the system crashed. I figured a buggy game or something but i go to restart a few hours later and get this.

The Problem seems to be caused by the following file: sptd.sys

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I took the drive out and slaved it to another computer and changed the file name to dpts.old but that didnt do anything, just gave me another error. So i put it back the way it was backed up everything that i wanted and went to re-install windows. But that wont work either. I boot from cd and the it loads and loads and loads. Then after loading drivers and what not at the bottom for a while it says something windows. Then restarts and does the same thing everytime. I am 100% stuck dont know what i should. I can slave it to another computer, and do whatever changing needs to be done i would prefer to get my old system working but if not at the least be able to re-install windows..
Im stuck really need some help...

Thank you

I haven't done anything yet. But none of that can solve my problem on that windows site. I've tried everything on that windows site with the exception of changing hardware. I haven't changed my hardware in over a year and nothing should be wrong with anything, but could be i know. Is there anything else i can do?? Can i re-format?? If so how can i get to not restart in the windows re-installation menu??

Thank You
