What is this download from Windows Update about. It updates once a month but I've never figured out how to use it. Does it install a usesable exe somewhere so I can search and remove spyware?

Well it doesnt do a very good job... :(

Ok i downloaded the file from the Microsoft website and it is an executable program. So how do you run it without downloading the file directly from the website. In the description it states it runs in the background etc. etc. Well my PC is infected with spyware, does it find anything, pop up and say "your infected" nope. So i find it hard to figure out what the use is of this program unless it only looks for certian spyware.

if you suspect a malware infection, then open a new thread in the security forum.

doanload and run HJT and post you log there. don't have HJT fixed anything yet, a certified member will analyze your log and guide you through the necessary steps to remove the culprit.
