    Hi and welcome

That looks questionable. What was the address/phone number supplied?

    What anti-virus was it?

Even if you got it, it was wasted money. Free ones are as good or better and there is no need to buy one.

NVER PAY FOR ANTI VIRUS. YOU ONLY NEED MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS( BY FAR BETTER THAN AVG) (MALWARE BYTES!! 1 OF THE BEST ) AND I ALSO USE SUPER ANTI SPYWARE and SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY!!!! YOU CAN ALSO DOWNLOAD A BOOTABLE ANTI VIRUS. AVAST BOOTABLE IS MY FAV........

OR..... SWITCH TO A LINUX DISTRO OF YOUR CHOICE (Depending your Hardware requirements) NO NEED FOR ANTI VIRUS ITS VERY RARE YOU WILL EVER GET ONE> "APRIL 2008 WINDOWS HAD 1,000,000 Known Virus) (LINUX Had 100)"

    locdog,

First, I'd like to welcome you to TSG. :)

At the same time, I'd like to ask that you not type in all caps. You may not be aware but that is interpreted as "shouting" at other people when used on public message boards (or in e-mails and other electronic communications).

Also, so far you've only posted twice and both times you recommend using Linux as the solution. BTW, I've deleted the other one as it was actually irrelevant to the question posed. While Linux is certainly a good alternative, not everyone is looking to change operating systems at the drop of a hat, they just want help with their issue, so please keep this in mind when posting and focus on solving the problem that has been presented by the user seeking assistance. Thanks for understanding. :)
