I just recently did a system recovery. I started getting pop ups stating:

    STOP! WINDOWS REQUIRED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION.
WINDOWS HAS FOUND 55 CRITICAL SYSTEM ERRORS.

TO FIX THE ERRORS PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:

    1. DOWNLOAD REGISTRY UPDATE FROM: WWW.HELPFIXPC.COM
    2. INSTALL REGISTRY UPDATE
    3. RUN REGISTRY UPDATE
    4. REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER

FAILURE TO ACT NOW MAY LEAD TO SYSTEM FAILURE!

I receive many of these pop ups but they keep giving me different websites to go to. Is this a virus? How do I get rid of this?

Then I would get either AVG or another one on that PC and update the Anti-Virus program and do a Full Scan first ...then restart the PC and post another Hijack Log if needed.

It would be a waste of time for someone to help you until you get some protection.

You also do not have SP2 installed. any reason for this?

You better take a gander at the rules of this site Here

Only people with a shield in their header can advise on Hijack Logs.

Not my rules.....just thought you should know.
