I have a Toshiba Satellite 1135 laptop (running Windows XP Home) that will not start Windows. I receive an error message in DOS that says "Windows can not start because the following files are missing or corrupt: \Windows\System32\Config\System". Can anyone help me create a boot disk that will replace this file and allow me to get up and running again. I am trying to avoid the complete system restore which will destroy my data and settings.

    Please help!
