hello - xp sp2--- in past after opening Windows Update via Tools/Update, i could view my Update History page option and
view what is currently showing as updated i.e. on my computer by clicking on that ''Option ('View Update History)
..... suddenly today, that 'feature' is not working - tried everything recommended on the 'site' ..i.e. .added site to pop-blocker/low blockage setting; (never a problem before today).. it tries to 'load' that page - i see it 'flash' briefly then disappear with another page appearing stating there was a problem accessing my personal 'update history' (or whatever the language was - don't remember totally + showing error ox800A138F)
today i downloaded & installed the NeT recommended update (restarted computer) and i think it was after that was completed that i tried to view the link for 'history of updates' -without success.
I read ''FAQ'' and did what i wrote above ... HELP! thanks - Edythe
PS: under Security - my NET is showing as 'prompt'
i haven't a 'clue' what that 'feature' does -but i kept getting reminders to do that update, so i did ! LOL I even tried a
virus scan - no problems - how 'important' is it that i 'view' what is updated in my machine anyway?
