Hi, I keep getting this message when i want to shut down my computer, that i should turn off with installing the required windows updates, however, even after doing that the next time i want to shut down my computer it still has the irritating install option.
Whats wrong with the install, I've done this several times but it still appears everytime and its getting really annoying.
I have Windows XP Professional on a Dell Dimension 2400 desktop.

Thanks.

Some updates require a reboot. Is it trying to install the same update?

Yeah the same update, even though I've like 'installed' it atleast 5 times now via the shutdown method and still the same message.

Am guessing its the Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181)

Sorry, I missed your reply.

When you go to do updates, can you uncheck that one?
