    Hey there,
please, i need help to fix my vista running computer. Ok, so a few months ago an error "Disk Read Error press CTRL-ALt-DEL to restart popped up". but i used to vista recovery disk , and it fixed the error for a few days, with the same error popping up every once in a while since that.

but today my computer booted (with the Vista recovery Disk inside) to the 'System Recovery Options' screen, but this time my operating system was not listed, ( this has happened before but i restarted it and it would come up) but this time nothing, i clciked load drivers, but i dont know what to do after that, ( also i noticed that my C Drive was not listed under Hard Disk Drives, only a drive called 'boot' was listed), so i clicked next and after clicking startup repair, it would tell me it successfully repaired, but it would then either boot back to the vista recovery screen OR a black screen with a flashing cursor.

Please Someone help me, Thank you!

Yeah i checked that page already, but my computer is no longer going to the 'disk read error' screen, it just doesnt boot up and Vista Recovery cannot detect my C drive. oh yeah, also in startup repair, in the log, it says the partition table does not have a valid system partition. so its like a totally different problem now.

    thanks for the reply.

Are you under any kind of warranty?
Does the manufacturer screen show up?
Delete the partition and consider reinstalling
