I installed Linux the other day on a 5Gb partition with a dual boot. Its suppose to auto load Windows XP Pro. It only seems that after the Linux installation, Windows has fits with booting up. After I get past GRUB, it loads the Windows XP logo, and normally should go to the "Welcome" screen, but it never gets there, its a black screen. Sometimes it will boot, but just now, I've had three attempts in a row with unsuccessful results.

I need Linux installed at least for a few months, but its hard to use Windows with it acting up. (You better be happy I gave you more room than Linux, you ungrateful operating system  )

Actually, the question is, is it in fact the dual boot thats causing problems?
