hey,um,sorry forgot to mention i dont have a windows disk or anything else related to this computer for that matter.I also previously had messages on startup that other drivers were missing such as;ntfs.sys and isapnp.sys.Sorry i didnt mention this before i just thought id make it more confusing than necessary.I do have a windows xp disk i can use but it came with a different computer. Not to get off the subject but do you yhink it would be easier to wipe the hard drive clean and start over???I wouldnt mind that i just dont know what i would do about the drivers....sorry so much info...just not sure what to do and looking for the best solution from someone more knowledgeable than myself....thanks again for your time

You can't use a disk that came from another computer. It's OEM for that computer only.
