Hi there people, i asked a question on here a while ago and was given some excellent advice. Any way, just recently i gave an old-ish guy an old Toshiba laptop running Windows XP with a 3G dongle to get him started. All went well for a while, However i recently uninstalled the 3G dongle whilst doing some work on the laptop and was trying to install a vodafone dongle. Now neither dongle will reinstall. Second problem i have is i want to reset the laptop to factory settings ( I.E out of the box ) i dont have anysoftware to do this does anybody know of a way this could be done? I know you guys are really busy, but also an invaluable source of help. Any help would be soooo greatly appreciated.

    Thanks pete.

P.S restoring to factory settings is the most important if the other questions cant be answered. I just want to hook up an old guy with the outside world, thats just my way of doing something nice for a lonely man.

Is there a restore partition on this laptop?
    What's the model number?
You may be able to use an XP disk of the same type(Home or Pro) to reinstall, using the Key that should be affixed to the computer.
