0x00000024 this code shows up on a blue screen from Windows XP. It will not boot up at all and I can't pull up a command prompt to run CHKDSK at all. My wife talked to a tech guy earlier today and wanted to charge $99 to fix it he believes it was the AVG Antivirus I used for the laptop that is causing it and looking at the messages it seems it is the AVG Antivirus causing it. Is there any way to remove this Antivirus software off the laptop? Thank you to anyone who knows how to solve this.:)

What's the brand name, model name, and model number of that laptop?

Have you been using the registry/file cleaner feature of AVG?
