    Howdy,
Should I only install certified drivers onto windows xp? Hardware manufacturers produce drivers that are yet to be certified. Should I asume that the manufacturers tested there drivers on xp when it says it is for xp? Or should I wait for microsoft to certify the driver before I use it?

    Thanks,
    computerpain

generally they are ok,it takes weeks for ms to certify and some manufacturers don't even bother to submit their drivers for certification

As long as you know the manufacturer then its fine......Some companies would rather not pay microsoft hundreds of thousands of dollars for a"signature" and i dont blame them.

Don't let M$ update a driver for something they don't manufacture.
