Hi i cant click nothing in control panel only some stuff.

    When i search the files

    System Properties = sysdm.cpl
    Network Connections = ncpa.cpl
    ODBC Administrator = odbccp32.cpl
    Display Properties = desk.cpl
Add or remove programs = appwiz.cpl
    Internet Properties = Inetcpl.cpl
    Game Controllers = joy.cpl
Phone and modem Options = telephon.cpl
Time and Date Properties = timedate.cpl
Region and Language Options = intl.cpl
    Power Options = powercfg.cpl
    Mouse Properties = main.cpl
    Accessibility Options = access.cpl
    Add Hardware Wizard = hdwwiz.cpl
Sound and Audio Devices = mmsys.cpl
    User Accounts = nusrmgr.cpl
    Speech Properties = sapi.cpl

They open but not via control panel i have to find the name of file and click it in start>search

I want to be able to open it via control panel etc

Example i want to change my display picture on desktop through control panel or right clicking on the desktop but i have to search the file and then click it.

Recently had some viruses but they are completly gone now.

    Anyone suggest anything?

I cannot use disk cleaner or open task manger etc.

Not sure it's exactly what you need but try the following fix. It will only restore the default CPL extension if needed. If not needed, it won't add anything new.

Click on CPL File Association Fix

Unzip the fix and extract the .REG file to the Desktop. Right-click the .REG file and choose Merge.

    Reboot the computer.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

    ===================================================================

For the Task Manager, click Start > Run > type regedit.

    Browse to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

In the right-hand pane, right-click and delete DisableTaskMgr (if present).

You may need to reboot the computer.

    ===================================================================

    Next,

Please click HERE to download and install HijackThis.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything
