I added the Windows XP fax program, but am having a hard time trying to send a fax with an attachment.

I have a cable Internet setup, so am always connected. When I set up the fax program, how do I designate this?

How do I include an attachment along with the fax. I have tried sending the fax but it doesn't seem to do anything.

    Thanks for any help!

You cannot send a fax direct from broadband, and you cannot send a fax "with an attachment" in the same sense as an email does.

The fax process uses a dial-up technology, not DSL. It has to be able to connect to the fax machine at the other end, which does not use DSL.

You need to have a dial-up modem connected to a voice type phone line.
