Windows Xp Image Problem

    Hi,
    I have created an image of Windows Xp from Norton Ghost but it doesn't working....
    What would be the reason?
    Image successfully transferred to the partition but the Operating System not booting and my system goes Hang.
    Please Help me!
    How can i create an Image of Windows Xp which works well.

    The image you are restoring has to be an image that was created from the PC you are restoring to. You cannot make an image of an Athlon X2 4600+ PC and have any hope that it will run on an Intel P4 machine.

    you might get away with a simple 'repair installation', but success is not guaranteed.

    It means that we cannot restore anothers XP PC image.

    is it true that the Image created on the PC will work only on thah PC?

    am i right?
