hi..
i have a problem when i was installing windows XP. there was a lot of missed files occur during the installation. and there was two choices: retry or skip. i chose skip each time. but ,after that, when i tried to update my drivers, an error appears.

the files are:

modem.sys
pjlmon.dll
driver.cab
ipsmsnap.dll
ipv6p.chm
ipxmontr.dll
ir32_32.dll
isconW.chm
kodak_dc.icm
mf.sys
msyuv.dll
iyuv_32.dll
itss.dll

is there any way to get these files or to make my windows work normally??

It shouldn't be skipping any files on installation. Was the CD scartched or dirty, or maybe the CD-ROM needed cleaning?

If you are running, try going to Start > Run, and typing:

sfc /scannow

to check system files.

You have a backslash instead of a forward slash, also note that there is a space after sfc

Try it again using a forward slash. sfc /scannow

Run: cmd

Try running sfc /scannow from the command prompt and you'll then have time to see any error messages.
