I upgraded to winxp from win98 and my webpages load slower than if i had a dialup connection (I have a cable modem). Downloads are fine but the pages load extremely slow. Girlfriend is pissed.

EDIT...maybe reistall the cable modem or ethernet card?

I have mine to to 10 with no problems.

If you have done the web-site speed tests, and your results are in line with what they should be, I don't know why the pages are loading slowly.

Is it every page, so just some? If it's just some, then it's probably not on you end.

I would try flushing the Temp files, History Etc.. and see if that helps.

Sorry, that's all I can offer. There will be somebody more knowledgeable around here soon.
