Okay so randomly sometimes my screen freezes and then after a bit i get some error that win explorer has to close and stuff
like even when im just playing WoW. And sometimes when i was just on skype talking to my friend and surfing the web i got
some kind of error that said not enough storage to process this (Sorry cant remember what it fully said) And then my explorer crashed and i couldnt even restart it with Winkey + R...
and sometimes when my screen freezes i cant do anything at all and even when i try to open task manager it says something like this application has encountered an error and needs to close or something. And sometimes all my text just randomly dissapears from every icon, tab and everything for a while. And I run RegCure every day and usually even several times a day and only a few empty registry keys and minor errors like that. Ive runned virus scans with AVG Anti vir and Spybot search and destroy. Nothing but a few lousy tracking cookies...

PLEASE HELP! Ive been trying to find help for quite some time now..

    Hijackthis log btw:

Hi stop using RegCure - any Registry cleaner can cause more problems than they solve.
Undo any changes RegCure made and see if the problem returns.

I am not a Hjt log expert - but looks Ok.

You use RegCure every day?

I don't even want to guess how much damage it's already done to the operating system and to some of the programs. :(

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Why is Windows and your programs installed and running from D:?

    What's in C:?

Nope. Just stop using regcure at ALL. Any automatic registry cleaner is a bad idea; all registry cleaning should be done by hand, and by someone who knows what they are doing. Anything else is just asking for a paperweight.

only if the hd is fragmented. Windows will tell you if it needs to be defragged or not. something else to keep in mind is that every time you defrag, you are stressing your hd; on my xp machine, I check it maybe 2 or 3 times a year, that's about it.

that's fine. Just remember that if you use a third party app, such as defraggler, you could easily get conflicting reports from the windows defrag app, as they probably use different algorithms.

    thanks,

Damnit! :( Even now i was just randomly playing World of Warcraft. then my graphics go all weird asif my display driver had just failed.. and i try to open task manager it says the application failed to initialize. and then i print screened and tried to paste it into paint. but then it said something like "failed to copy to clipboard" and starting any program would say something like: Failed to initialize application. not enough memory or resources. please try closing some programs...
Then all i can do is restart :/

Would a windows repair help? As in the sticky posted on windows Xp forums?

I'd increase the RAM to 2048 MB(2 GB) - if the motherboard supports it.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

jusched and UnlockerAssistant don't need to auto-load and can be unchecked in the startup list.

That shouldnt be a problem at all. Since I even play Crysis regulary with this computer and 1gb ram...
Also only 400mb is in use when only on google chrome. And even then this happens...
So about 300mb RAM in use with GameBooster(closes windows resources) + Crysis = Way too much RAM in use. Thats why loading one map takes over 5 minutes :)

I always have Unlocker "open" cause it only uses like 3000kb Ram anyway
never had problems with 1gb ram for 5 years.
