I have 56k modem, that I am trying to make go faster. I know there are some settings. And something call extra settings that I can use to make the modem go much faster. Can someone tell me what are those settings?

They can vary by modem, and the possibilities of which modem you have are endless, unless you can tell us.

Also what speed do you presently connect at?

Usually, using the correct drivers are all that is needed. Extra strings can be used to slow the modem down if its dropping out due to noisey line conditions though.
